Provisions: A provision is recognized when theCompany has a present obligation as a result of pastevent, it is probable that an outflow of resourcesembodying economic benefits will be required tosettle the obligation and a reliable estimate can bemade of the amount of the obligation. If the effect ofthe time value of money is material, provisions arediscounted using a current pre-tax rate that reflects,when appropriate, the risks specific to the liability.These estimates are reviewed at each reporting date
and adjusted to reflect the current best estimates.The expense relating to a provision is presented inthe statement of profit and loss.
A contingent liability is a possible obligation thatarises from past events whose existence will beconfirmed by the occurrence or non-occurrence ofone or more uncertain future events beyond thecontrol of the Company or a present obligation thatis not recognized because it is not probable that anoutflow of resources will be required tosettle the obligation. A contingent liability also arisesin extremely rare cases where there is a liability thatcannot be recognized because it cannot be measuredreliably. An application filed under section 8 ofInsolvency and Bankruptcy code 2016 of IBC byM/s. Thaicom Public company limited for
enforcement of a Foreign Arbitration awardamounting to US$ 9,54,825.24 and the
company had filed a Joint Memo dated May 09, 2024NCLT for a mutual settlement Company agreed topay a sum of USD 11,38,086.23 as a full and finalsettlement and same has been paid to the M/sThaicom Public Company Limited sum of USD
11,38,086.23 equivalent to INR 9,67,38,344/-. M/sThaicom Public Limited Company has beenwithdrawn petition and the order of dismissal, dated30th May, 2024, issued by NCLT.
