The Pharmacology Laboratory of the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi — an autonomous body under the Ministry of Ayush — has achieved a major milestone by receiving triple ISO certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
The lab has been accredited with IS/ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), IS/ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System), and IS/ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System), marking its alignment with global standards of quality, sustainability, and workplace safety.
The certifications reflect AIIA’s adoption of an Integrated Management System (IMS), streamlining laboratory operations, improving ethical and environmental compliance, and enhancing efficiency in pre-clinical pharmacological research on Ayurvedic formulations.
AIIA Director Prof. (Vaidya) P. K. Prajapati said the recognition demonstrates the institute’s “commitment to excellence, quality, and sustainability,” setting a new benchmark for Ayurvedic research institutions across India.
AIIA, a NAAC A++ and NABH-accredited institute, continues to combine traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with modern scientific research to promote evidence-based healthcare and global quality standards.
