The benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty traded in a tight range as escalating US-Iran tensions kept investors cautious and weighed on market sentiment.

At 12:50 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 77442.63 down by -265.89 points or by -0.34 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24179 down by -59.5 points or by -0.25 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 77753.18 and intraday low of 77409.23 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24262.2 and intraday low of 24158.05
