The benchmark equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50, ended on a flat note with a negative bias on Tuesday.

Indian bourses – National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) – will remain closed on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in observance of Gandhi Jayanti.

The BSE Sensex closed at 84,266.29, down 33.49 points or 0.04 per cent from its previous close. Similarly, the NSE Nifty50 settled at 25,796.90, declining 13.95 points or 0.05 per cent.

Sensex touched intraday high of 84648.4 and intraday low of 84098.94 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25907.6 and intraday low of 25739.2

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1622.35,+2.93%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3164.85,+2.22%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1904.15,+1.50%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1879.90,+1.48%), State Bank of India (Rs. 797.00,+1.19%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1409.15,-2.68%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 3277.00,-1.54%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2921.95,-1.27%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 965.35,-0.96%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 167.00,-0.86%), among others.
