Post-Session: Sensex slips 111 pts, Nifty holds 22,450

The Indian benchmark indices snapped a three-day winning streak to close marginally lower on Tuesday. After a weak start, the market recovered but remained in negative territory for most of the session. Final hour buying trimmed most of the losses.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 73903.91 down by -110.64 points or by -0.15 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22453.3 down by -8.7 points or by -0.04 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 74099.78 and intraday low of 73743.77 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22497.6 and intraday low of 22388.15

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1971.85,+2.95%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2622.70,+1.42%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 1004.30,+1.23%), State Bank of India (Rs. 767.35,+1.21%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1558.25,+1.11%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1756.65,-1.84%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1528.10,-1.82%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1082.50,-1.52%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1616.10,-0.90%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1483.20,-0.84%), among others.

CDS index was at 53201.56 up by 950.79 points or by 1.82%. Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. (Rs. 236.15,+11.55%), Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd.
